Prelude

Call To Worship

*Opening Hymn                O Worship the King (vs 1,2,5)                 3

*Opening Prayer of Confession

Almighty God: you love us, but often we have not loved you; you call, but often we have not heard.  We have tolerated evil, prejudice, warfare and greed.  God our Father, help us to face our own sin, so that as you move toward us in mercy, we may repent, turn to you and receive forgiveness.  Through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Amen.

Declaration of Pardon
Hear the Good News! Christ Jesus entered the world to rescue sinners.  He personally bore our sins in his body on the cross, so that we might be dead to sin and be alive to all that is good.  So then, as God's own people, be merciful in action, kindly in heart, humble in mind.  Be always ready to forgive as freely as the Lord has forgiven you.  And above everything else, be loving and never forget to be thankful for what God has done for you.  Amen.
